The jib has no fern, no stone feet and no iron plates. Each leg is cut flat so it sits flush on level ground (the old model was sunk 13 cm into it), and cord lashings replace the plates. The pulley is built into the end of the hoist boom, with the rope hanging vertical from its lowest point to a knot over a basket centred under the wheel. On a slope the flat feet leave a gap under the downhill side.
