Thick-hided: the capstone is now Bruise cap. No single hit can take more than half of your maximum health, so a character at full health cannot be killed by one blow, and a boss still wears you down over a fight. It replaces Shrug (a hit under 4% of your health does nothing), the first draft of this capstone, and it used to be another 5% armour before that. The cap is applied to the final damage of one hit, after armour, resistances and the world's damage-taken setting, and the whole hit is scaled down, so its stagger shrinks with it. Damage over time is not capped: burning, poison, smoke, cold, drowning, lava and ocean heat tick as hits of their own types and are left alone, as are the edge of the world and your own health costs. A fall is capped, as any other single hit: the fall system only decides how much damage there is, so nothing breaks, and a drop that would have killed a full-health character now leaves them at half. The share is
BruiseCapSharein the cfg (0.50). Thick-hided's armour from the ranks is unchanged.
