A plant the grid moved could be planted where the game would have refused it. The game checks tilled ground, wards and no-build areas where you aim, and the grid then moves the plant up to half a row. A carrot aimed at the edge of a tilled patch could land on grass and be planted anyway. It wilted ten seconds later, and when it should have been ready it was gone, seed and all. The same checks now run again where the plant will actually land. If that spot fails, the ghost turns red and you get the game's usual message.
