Soft step: the capstone is now Lose them. A creature that has lost you gives up the hunt after 12 seconds instead of 30, where "lost" means it has neither seen nor heard you for that long. Bosses and creatures that hunt players are left alone. It used to be -10% noise, which is exactly Quiet wake's effect, so the two stones were each other's capstones. A creature's AI runs on whichever machine owns the creature and that machine holds only its own player's stones, so the stone is published as a flag on your character that every client reads; that flag is the shared plumbing for Soft step, Weatherly, and it is written only when it changes. Soft step's ranks, -8% detection each, are unchanged.
