Thirty-one stones that are not carved yet
Rist has 27 runestones. The research behind the last two releases turned up far more than that, and six of them became the 1.5 stones you are carving now. What was left over has been sitting in a document nobody but me could read.
It is on the roadmap now, all 31 of them, one entry each with what it does per rank and what its capstone would be. Vote on the ones you want, and say why in the thread if you have an opinion about the numbers. The same list sits in one spreadsheet if you would rather read them all in a row.
Why the voting matters here
You do not get enough rists to carve everything. The two furthest characters on the server have spent 33 picks each, and it takes 135 to fill all 27 stones. Every stone I add makes that choice harder, so a stone that is merely nice is a stone that nobody will ever take.
Gingie made exactly this point about the utility stones, and he is right that a stone has to earn its pick. It does not mean utility loses: Quick study is the most carved stone on the server by a wide margin, 37 ranks across 9 characters, and Far sight is in the top seven. A good utility stone gets taken. A thin one does not.
Five of them are merged
Rather than ship a pile of thin stones, some of the leftovers were folded together, which was Gingie's suggestion too.
- Fireside now carries both the longer Rested and the slower food burn.
- Hel-spurned covers dying: your meals keep some of their time, and Corpse Run lasts longer.
- Rein-wise is mounts, tames and carts in one, including Rattennest's idea about sprinting with a cart, and CRVD's horn that calls your mount as the capstone.
- True flight takes thrown spears with it, the same way Windlass ended up inside Quick draw.
- Battle-glad swallowed the other two adrenaline stones.
What planned actually means
Planned means it is on the list, not that it is coming in the next release. Some of these need numbers I can only read out of the game's own files, some of them I may still cut, and a stone with no votes is the first to go. That is the point of putting them up before building them.
There are a few I have not written a capstone for at all. If one of those is your favourite, the thread is the place to tell me what it should be.
