Per rank: Heat resistance +8% a rank, multiplied with your gear's own. At rank 5 you take 60% of the heat you otherwise would; lava at full heat still kills.

Capstone (rank 5): Ember-step: the first time heat reaches full it is held just short of it for 1.5 s, so a misstep is walkable. Refills after 10 s clear of lava.
