Longhouse 1.1.0
27 August 2026. After 1.0.9.
Three mods join, and one grows. The set moves from six to nine.
- Sinka 1.0.0 (was Dovetail). Chests and fences that line up: snap points on every corner, and a ladder of them up fence ends so a fence can climb a hill.
- Kynda 1.0.0 (was Stoker). Feed smelters and kilns by the batch, and build their two upgrades: the Tun beside a smelter, the Woodrack beside a kiln.
- Taum 1.0.0. Alt+E on a tamed boar or hen and it follows you; again and it stays - the wolves' own follow, opened to the farm animals.
- Vaettir 1.1.0 to 1.2.0. Thicket: dig up wild berry bushes and walk them home in your arms. Bonemeal: two bones and an entrail, richer harvests. And from Farming 10, the cultivator plants in a grid.
The two renames are new packages: Dovetail and Stoker were never published, so nothing breaks - the names simply arrive in Old Norse like the rest of the set.

Both upgrade models remade
The renders were never at the size the game draws. Both pieces carry
discussScale 1.5, and the preview rendered the raw model beside a 1m cube, so every design was picked from a picture two thirds the size of the real thing. The lights were hot enough to flatten everything. A sun at 3.0 plus a fill at 1.0 plus a world at 0.7 puts a 0.30 albedo at 0.72 in sRGB, so timber rendered as sand and the whole model arrived at one value. Value is most of what says a silhouette works.
discussNothing was ever in frame with it. These are only ever seen touching a station, so the stage now carries a block of the smelter's measured mass.
discussWoodrack is now
discusskynda_rack_courses. The logs came from a helper that picked a cross-section at random (three, four, five, six or seven sides) which at 2 metres read as a frame packed with rubble. Vanilla varies a woodpile's diameter and never its cross section, so every piece is a round now. The back is closed, and the roof slopes forwards: it had been rotated-17about x since the first version, which lifts the front edge, and a roof rising towards the viewer is why it read as a table.Trough is now
discusskynda_trough_casks. The deck it stood on was a slab across the front at exactly the height a cask is widest, cutting both off at the belly; the casks stand on the ground now, with nothing round them at all - a kerb was tried and read as the pallet the deck had just been taken away for being. The cask itself was straight-sided where a cask bulges, had its staves modelled as twenty square posts where vanilla paints them on a turned cylinder, and at 0.90 × 1.35m stood a head over the 0.84 × 1.10barrellit imitates. It is now vanilla's size, turned and bulged, with hoops thin enough to read as iron bands.
Sinka joins at 1.0.0
1.0.0
The 0.9.0 build, proven in play and given its release number - chests snap flush beside and atop each other, fences ladder up hillsides, and world-spawned loot stays unsnappable. Renamed from Dovetail on the way: Sinka is the dovetail joint itself in the Scandinavian tongues, beside the pack's other Old Norse names. Nothing was published under the old name, so nothing breaks.
Taum joins at 1.0.0
1.0.0
The first published version, and a different mod from the one 0.1.0 sketched. The halter -
a crafted item, a worn model, a lead - was cut whole to the halter branch on his call,
and what ships is one gesture: Alt+E on a tamed boar or hen toggles follow/stay,
through vanilla's own Tameable.Command - the same follow the wolves have, gated only by a
flag the farm animals lack. E still pets, Shift+E still renames; all three gestures keep
their own key, and the modifier is config (FollowKey).
Confirmed in play: the follow, the hover line, and follow surviving a relog - which is vanilla's own ZDO behaviour, kept.
Vaettir 1.1.0 → 1.2.0
1.2.0
Four features, every one reshaped in play before it shipped.
Thicket: move wild plants
Select Transplant on the cultivator and click a wild berry bush, thistle, dandelion or mushroom patch: it comes up roots-and-all INTO YOUR ARMS - no item, no inventory - riding the tool's tined end while you walk it home. Walking is the whole verb set: running, jumping, attacking, the hotbar, equipping and every ordinary interaction wait until the plant is down. Click open ground where its kind grows (the biome gate refuses elsewhere, keeping the carry), press R to set it down anywhere regardless, and the SAME plant stands there - picked-empty, its berries having dropped at the dig, regrowing on vanilla's own timer. Dying or logging out plants it at your feet: conservation does not take an exit as an excuse. The Farming ladder gates digging per plant, and the world's plant count only ever stays the same.
Bonemeal, without the bone mill
a lathe-turned tied sack in flat painted colours matching its icon.
discuss
The planting grid, from Farming 10
The cultivator's ghost snaps onto a lattice anchored to the nearest plant of the same kind, spaced by the plant's own grow radius - so beds come out in rows and columns you place yourself, one seed per press, exactly as vanilla plants. The first plant of a bed goes wherever you like and anchors it; no kin nearby, no snap. (Furrow's multi-sow machinery exists behind a config flag, off: one press planting a square was built and struck the day it was met.)
Housekeeping
1.1.0 was published with its version constants still reading 1.0.0; the gate never noticed because both ends ran the same bytes. This release re-aligns the numbers.
